Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Systems Administrator. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Information Technology, the System Administrator plays an essential role in maintaining and enhancing the Law School’s IT infrastructure by managing a diverse range of responsibilities.
This position is responsible for the following but are not limited to:
- Serving as departmental administration and maintenance, end user support, A/V support, website maintenance, email administration, network management, and professional development
- Supporting mission-critical applications on Windows and Linux platforms, providing technical assistance for desktops, mobile devices, and printers, and contributing to high-profile events with A/V expertise
- Maintaining the Law School’s website, collaborating with RUMail administrators for a stable email system, monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, and staying informed on industry trends to continually improve technical skills and provide the best possible solutions for the technology department and end users
- The System Administrator’s commitment to excellence and adaptability to changing technologies is crucial to the success of the Law School’s IT environment
