Rutgers Endowed Professorship in Nursing Research

The Rutgers School of Nursing invites applications for the position of Rutgers Endowed Professorship in Nursing Research. This exciting position offers a highly competitive, internal funding package for research expansion.

The successful candidate will be a senior level PhD-prepared researcher with a record of NIH or equivalent funding. The goal of this endowment is to advance nursing research and evidence-based practices. The Chair will work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines. Recognizing the Academic-Practice Partnership with nursing at RWJBH, the Chair will also collaborate with nurse scientists within the healthcare system. Rutgers School of Nursing is located within a comprehensive research-focused university, offers degrees ranging from pre-licensure nursing to the PhD in Nursing, and is a member of one of the most comprehensive academic health centers in the nation. The position will report directly to the Associate Dean of Nursing Science with a dotted line to the Dean.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Leads a program of NIH-funded (or NIH equivalent) research at Rutgers School of Nursing.
· Participates with School of Nursing and RWJBH in development of collaborative research opportunities. 
· Builds partnerships between the School of Nursing, Centers and Institutes of Rutgers University, and clinical affiliates.
