The Rutgers Center for Ocean Observing Leadership (RUCOOL), within the Department of Marine & Coastal Sciences (DMCS) is seeking a calendar year non-tenure track (NTT) faculty titled, Research Associate, to work with the Rutgers Center for Ocean Observing Leadership and broader faculty.
The Research Associate will carry out research on physical coastal ocean processes, air-sea interactions, and offshore wind. The successful candidate will have experience with ocean observations, 3D numerical ocean and atmospheric models, and idealized ocean and atmospheric models. Furthermore, they will have an understanding of ocean mixing processes and ocean and atmospheric boundary layer physics. They will carry out research to better understand the interaction of offshore wind development and the ocean and atmospheric environment including developing studies, reports, high quality publications, and carrying out presentations at local, regional, and national forums. The research associate will join a dynamic and collaborative team of research staff, faculty, and students within RUCOOL.
