Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Supervisor for the Department of Surgery, Acute Care within Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Chief and Sr. Director, the Program Supervisor is primarily responsible to provide supervision of the administrative, clinical, education and research infrastructure of the division. Serves as the key staff, personnel representative and contact point for all correspondence, calls and activity directed to the division.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Coordinates with the Office of the Chair of Department of Surgery, Administrative offices of RWJ/Rutgers medical group, Human Resources, payroll, purchasing, information technology, RWJ university hospital, and other offsite locations. Initiate correspondence related to these functions and attends meetings related to the functions.
- Oversees process regarding all faculty appointments, reappointments, promotions and faculty evaluation for the division, along with peer reviews, hospital credentialing and other related material. Processes and maintains up to date records of all faculty staff, new hires, vacancies, terminations and employment status. Prepares and processes reports as required by the Department Chair or Chief of the division, including chief and faculty evaluations, scholarly capacity reports, productivity reports, other reports as requested or required.
- Advises Sr. Director and assists in responding to and resolving operational or divisional issues or program administrative problems.
- Establishes divisional workflows to ensure all preauthorization’s, precertification’s, clearances, denial explanation requests and work queue completions are completed, timely accurately and efficiently.
- Assists with all aspects of the EHR, as it relates to the functioning within your division, education of all staff and faculty, necessary workflows, patient communication and collaboration points.
- Provides management support to divisional personnel (faculty, resident, and staff) by interpreting organizational and departmental policies, standards, operational procedures, and guidelines. Develops and implements all necessary policies in coordination with Chief and/or Sr Director.
