Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the School of Law- Dean’s Office. Reporting to the Clinical Professor of Law. Rutgers Law School seeks an experienced bilingual Program Coordinator II l for a project providing immigration legal services to children in New Jersey’s foster care system. This a grant funded position.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
- Acts as primary point of contact for initial inquiries for legal services and will organize, administer, and coordinate multiple facets of the Project
- Assists in many case-related activities including performing intake functions; prioritizing and assigning cases referred for intake; conducting initial fact gathering; research support activities, scheduling appointments; tracking cases and outcomes; and assisting attorneys with other case related tasks as needed
- Enters data into and maintain the case management system used by the Project and will assist in the creation of Project related materials and reports
- Maintains familiarity with court rules and legal processes and will serve as a liaison with other agencies and community organizations to develop and maintain a referral network for cases
- The position could be based at either the Camden or Newark locations of Rutgers Law School, however, travel to the other campus will be required
