Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow for the Department of Rehabilitation & Movement Sciences within the School of Health Professions. Under the direction of Dr. Alma Merians, the Post Doctoral Fellow will test the efficacy of novel virtual reality-based upper extremity neurorehabilitation treatments for persons who have had a stroke. The Post Doctoral Fellow will quantify the impact of these novel treatments using clinical assessments, limb and hand kinematics, eye tracking, muscular coordination (EMG), and brain dynamics (fNIRS, EEG, TMS, MRI).
Among the key duties of this position are the following;
- Sets up, troubleshoots, and analyzes 3D motion capture, force sensor, and EMG data, programming in MATLAB and LabVIEW, and statistical analysis.
- Collects EEG, pre and post processing.
