DIR/ENGAGEMENT & DONOR STRATEGIES

The Director of Engagement & Donor Strategies is responsible for developing, implementing and administering college and/or program specific development efforts to support the unit’s annual fundraising operation while coordinating with a larger development team. Responsibilities include developing strategies to accomplish unit fundraising goals, leading and directing a development team in support of philanthropic efforts, and planning and conducting programs designed to promote the public’s understanding of a unit’s activities and research with the aim of cultivating donors and raising money. These efforts may include, but are not limited to annual giving, major gift development, corporate and foundation relations, and planned gift identification and advancement. The Director of Engagement & Donor Strategies has a personal fundraising responsibility of $2,500,000 by securing gifts primarily $500,000 or greater from a portfolio of 150-200 prospective donors. This position reports to the executive director for development and works collaboratively with university leadership (e.g. provost, deans, and vice presidents) and development colleagues to refine a case for support for university strategic development goals.
