Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Coach for Men’s Golf. Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, the assistant coach will be responsible to assist in all facets of the golf program. This position will assist with the coordination of Men’s Golf intercollegiate athletic program which provides an opportunity for student-athletes to compete on a competitive, Division I men’s golf team while attending school to earn a college degree.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists in establishing and maintaining a highly competitive intercollegiate men’s golf program within the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
- Recruits student-athletes with high academic and athletic skills to attend Rutgers University, compete on the golf team, and earn their degrees.
- Assists in organizing and conducting practices and competitions at a high level of efficiency and with measurable success.
- Assists in the development and instruction of student-athletes in the proper rules of competition, conditioning, skills and techniques on the course and in life-skills and leadership qualities on and off the course.
- Assists in public relations events, social media, and fundraising that support the objectives of the program and allow for program enhancements.
